Event Details
On Saturday May 11th bowlers and spectators alike from all over the Black Hills gathered at Robbinsdale Lanes in Rapid City to Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Our teams were ready to show off their bowling skills and boast about how much they raised. The bowling scores are not typically great however we certainly had some exceptions this year!We have raised a lot of money over the years being “Defenders of Potential”, and a corporate sponsor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. It is great to see everyone’s enthusiasm, excitement and want to participate, always coming through with outstanding pledge totals.
Highway 44 and Lacrosse Common Cents both step up from their standings last year and took over 1st and 2nd place.Highway 44 takes top honors raising a whopping $3903 in pledge totals!Lacrosse nudged out Belle Fourche for 2nd place (who had maintained their standing for the prior 2 years) raising $2331. Lead Common Cents came in 3rd raising $1956, followed by Belle Fourche at $1847.Sheridan Lk Rd and North Street Common Cents raised over $1600 with Wall and the MPC teams raising over $1500 each.Omaha, Rushmore Rd and Spearfish raised over $1200 each in pledges. You should all be very proud of the monies raised, this fundraiser alone accounts for 1/3 of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills entire yearly budget!Your hard work does have a huge impact in our community and surrounding areas.
